Dr. Pritesh Kumar, M.S., Ph.D, Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Pritesh Kumar earned both a M.S. and Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology, with a focus in cannabinoid (cannabis) pharmacology, from the University of Louisville. Dr. Kumar is a pharmacologist trained in ensuring QA/QC, cGMP, cGPP, cGLP of pharmaceutical products and APIs. Previously, at the University of Louisville, Dr. Kumar conducted pharmacological testing of FDA- approved drugs as potential ligands for the cannabinoid receptor 2 (CB2) and investigated the pharmacology of cannabidiol (CBD) and cannabigerol (CBG). 

Previously, Dr. Kumar was the CEO of PhytoSciences, an international organization comprised of 40+ scientists based in India, Canada, Africa, Latin America, and the USA. The company consults in the areas clinical trial solutions, novel drug-delivery technology development, industrial scale manufacturing, analytical testing, and commercial bio-processing. Dr. Kumar was responsible for forming and leading the development of the global business strategy.

 In addition, Dr. Kumar previously served as Chief Scientific Officer for PharmaCielo Ltd., a Canadian company with operations in Colombia, South America. He was previously the Chair of PharmaCielo’s Research Advisory Board, where he was responsible for the company’s R&D, global business product development strategy.  Dr. Kumar previously served as a Scientific Advisor to Revive Therapeutics, a Canadian Pharmaceutical company, advancing R & D of novel plant-based research initiatives, with an initial focus on cannabinoids. Dr. Kumar utilized his expertise to establish a novel drug re- purposing platform to commercialize safe, consistent, and effective cannabinoid-based therapeutics that address unmet medical needs. 

Dr. Kumar is currently the Scientific Advisor for Addis Ababa University, School of Pharmacy (SoP). In this role, Dr. Kumar facilitates advancements in graduate student education, promotes the interest of the SoP, and develops relationships between the SoP and the private sector.He has received numerous honors and awards including Best Oral Presentation from the International Cannabinoid Research Society (ICRS) Conference in Vancouver and fellowships from Drug Discovery and Target in Boston and Integrated Programs in Biomedical Sciences (IPIBS) as well as travel awards from the National Institute on Drug Abuse and University of Louisville School of Medicine for his presentations in the U.S., Canada, Italy, and Germany. 

Dr. Kumar has been published in numerous scientific journals including the European Journal of Pharmacology, Pharmacology and Physiology, Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science and Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications.

Moseley Putney, Chief Operating Officer

Moseley Putney is a professionally registered architect with 30 years of experience owning and managing his private architectural practice. Putney Architecture PLLC specializes in commercial architectural design, urban infill mixed-use, city planning, historic restoration and custom residential projects. Mr. Putney is a longtime member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and recognized by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and has had work featured in journals, special edition books and architectural publications for both architecture and development projects.

As a land owner and agricultural entrepreneur, Mr. Putney was awarded a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture (KDA) to participate in the second year (2015) of the Hemp Pilot Program and for 2016 & 2017 as well as a Grower and now with KYDS LLC as a Processor. Mr. Putney is a founding member and sits on the Board of the Hemp Industries Association Kentucky Chapter (KYHIA), is a founding member of the US Hemp Roundtable (formerly the Kentucky Hemp Industries Council-KYHIC) and diligently advocated to forge legislation for the adoption of State statutes allowing for the re-development of hemp agriculture and industry in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. This adopted legislation was in place when the 2014 Farm Bill became law. The effort enabled Kentucky, historically the prime supplier of hemp to the US, to be the ground breaking chief innovator for the reemergence of the hemp industry nationally.

Mr. Putney brings passion and a uniquely varied skill set to the management of operations of KYDS LLC and will serve as the Chief Operating Officer.
